for Paris Design Week, designboom opened a temporary studio in the heart of Le Marais and made it our base for podcasts, workshops, meetings and gatherings.
architects, designers, artists, journalists, partners and friends came through. the format changed every day, but the idea stayed simple: bring people together around design.
INDX|GLOBAL
together with INDX|GLOBAL, we recorded 11 podcast sessions with more than 40 of India’s leading architects, hosted by designboom managing editor Iñaki Laguardia.
the conversations explored utopia and the ideas shaping architecture and design today, tied directly to designboom’s 2026 editorial direction around utopian optimism. the studio became a working set, with new groups moving through every day.
paris.designboom apéro
on Thursday evening we opened the doors to more than 300 guests from the creative and B2B community for drinks, food and conversation.
no stage, no agenda. just time together, new introductions and the people behind designboom. for one evening, the studio became a meeting point for Paris’ wider design community.
Clarks Originals × Topologie × designboom
to close the week, Clarks Originals, Topologie and designboom hosted an invitation-only workshop inspired by katagami, the Japanese technique of cutting paper stencils into detailed patterns.
talents from design, art and journalism customized Clarks Wallabee shoes and Topologie Konbini bags. each guest left with two bespoke pieces made on the day.
HOFF × Jade Matcha Gallery × designboom
with HOFF, we ran an off-site partnership at Jade Matcha Gallery in Saint-Germain around an installation by French artist Clémence Mars, extended by a curated map of places shaping Paris’ creative scene.
editor-in-chief Sofia Lekka Angelopoulou joined HOFF’s interview series and helped shape the map, giving the brand an editorial voice during Paris Design Week.

Novae created a custom scent for paris.designboom, so everything in the studio touched every sense.
across the week, paris.designboom worked as a recording studio, event space, workshop and meeting point. each partner came in through a different format: INDX|GLOBAL through conversations, Clarks Originals and Topologie through making, HOFF by taking the program into another part of the city.
the 11 INDX|GLOBAL sessions are being released through designboom, bringing the architects and their ideas to our global audience. editorial coverage, interviews, photography and social content carry the story on.
paris.designboom was the first stop in a new traveling series of talks, exhibitions, workshops and gatherings. one city at a time, we create places where our editorial world, our community and our partners meet in real life.
